It began with our founder—an everyday person driven to solve everyday challenges and is fueled by curiosity, empathy, and a relentless pursuit of solutions. And while research and development power our process, it’s something bigger that drives our purpose: real people and real impact.
A Moment of Clarity
As a second-generation entrepreneur, my journey to founding Sacrd Body® wasn’t exactly a linear path. I spent years helping top global companies tackle complex challenges. My focus had always been on transforming people, processes, and technology to drive growth, profitability, and elevate customer experiences.
Despite corporate successes, I felt a deeper calling to create something with more purpose. That moment of clarity started during my travels throughout Europe. The region’s vibrant spirit of innovation and creative problem-solving sparked an idea when I found myself frustrated by a simple daily routine while traveling—washing my hair. I knew there had to be a better way.
After being laid off from a corporate position in 2023, I took a leap of faith—filing a provisional patent application for our hero product and devoted the next year to turning an idea into reality. By 2024, Sacrd Body completed its first prototype for the SacrdShield™ and the final patent application was submitted. With a small, dedicated team, I’ve poured countless hours into shaping a product with real impact, guided by tester feedback and a commitment to solving a problem I was deeply passionate about. We are excited to bring our product to market in early 2026.
A Foundation of Creativity and Innovation.
Makeda grew up in a home where creativity and innovation were woven into daily life. Her mother was a talented seamstress with a natural eye for interior design, while her father ran a custom plastic slipcover business. For years, she watched him walk the streets of New York City with a large roll of vinyl, cutting and sewing furniture slipcovers onsite for customers—treating each furnishing with care and craftsmanship. It was in this environment that Makeda learned an important life principle: Respect and protect what is sacred.
